I am honored to present to you the electronic version of the annual report for year 2018, which came in line with the vision of the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is keen to provide what is new and invest various opportunities to contribute in achieving the best practices of development and modernization in the oil sector, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, king of the country.

This electronic report is based on oil statistics, oil projects, international cooperation and external participation, as well as conferences, exhibitions, seminars and workshops organized or co-organized by the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA).

Year 2018 has been a year full of many achievements in various fields and one of the most important of these achievements was the announcement of the new discovery of shale oil and deep gas, which is one of the biggest historical discoveries of the Kingdom of Bahrain, where this discovery is located in the Gulf of Bahrain area located in the western region of the kingdom's borders with an area of 2000 km. Year 2018 also witnessed, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, king of the country, and in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, the launch of the new oil pipeline linking the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is the result of the ongoing cooperation between Bapco and Aramco with an estimated capacity of 350,000 barrels per day.

In the areas of international cooperation, 2018 was marked by the hosting of the 21st Green Climate Meeting by the Kingdom of Bahrain, in which a number of representatives of official countries and relevant international organizations from around the world participated to discuss the fund's support and funding for countries. to help them implement their climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. During the event, Ms. Patricia Espinosa, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, laid the foundation stone for the 110 hectares of wetland projects in Al-Sakhir and the 500-hectare Al-Hunainiya Reserve in southern Bahrain. I would like to point out that the many achievements came thanks to Allah and then our leadership, which pays great attention in providing continuous support to the oil sector, and I would like to thank all employees of NOGA, the Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding) and all Bahrain oil companies for their sincere efforts that had a great impact in achieving the desired goals.

In conclusion, I pray to Allah that we will all be able to give more for the economic prosperity and social development of our precious kingdom. Hoping that this report will be an important source for documenting the various achievements and information related to this important sector.
